Friends in English (ESL)

This conversational class will help newer Canadians practice their English as they learn about basic elements of Canadian culture and our Christian faith from more experienced Canadian women.  We need new immigrants, “born-and-bred Calgarians” and everyone in between to join this class of friends.  Come with your questions about adjusting to life in Canada.

Facilitators:   Anita Lee and Rebekah Hagan

Longing for More: A Woman’s Path to Transformation in Christ

Using Ruth Haley Barton’s book, we will consider the complexity of women’s lives and how, together, we can experience real spiritual transformation.  Each class will include teaching, discussion, and quiet reflection, as we seek to discover our full identity in Christ.

Facilitators:  Jill Hickling and Julie Lee

Art & Soul

Join us for a combination of creative activity and inspiring discussion!  Each week, we will care for our souls and each other with Scripture, discussion and caring time, learning new skills such as scrapbooking and quilting, or working on a project from home.  Supply information at Registration.

Facilitators:  Michelle Loewen

Life and Faith (Precept)

Tackle life issues from a biblical perspective with short studies from Precept Ministries–a blueprint for marriage based on God’s Word; guidance from the book of Titus on developing character and integrity in a culture that lacks respect for God; and directed practice in learning to study the Bible for yourself.

Facilitator:  Leone Thomas
