Helpful Resources for Knowing God

This year, the theme for Women’s Ministry is Knowing God.  We will focus on knowing Him and growing in our relationship with Him in a number of ways.  We have created a Spiritual Habits & Resources page where we have gathered ideas for knowing Him better through Scripture, prayer, and other spiritual habits.

You can help us by adding your ideas for resources that have helped you–it may be a blessing to someone else!

To start off, here is a blog post that encourages us to consider what we ask when we pray:

Ask God

by thegloriousunseen

Praise be to you, O LORD; teach me your decrees. (Psalm 119:12)

Reading Psalm 119 made me stop and consider the things I ask of God. I request safety for my children, success for my plans, health for my friends. Not bad things, but the psalmists asks for very different things. He set his heart on knowing God through God’s word.

Over the last month, I made it a daily practice to ask God for the same things as the psalmist. Because these requests come straight from God’s word, I know I am praying according to God’s will.

Please join me in praying:
